I really enjoy the Christmas holiday season. There are parties to attend, lighted neighborhoods to tour, concerts to enjoy and presents to wrap.
With the exception of the last item on my list, all of my holiday season highlights are happening in one week this year.
That’s right! As unbelievable as it seems, we have all the holiday fun a person can handle for a season in just one jumbled week.
- Monday – Kelly’s office holiday party
- Tuesday – Dallas Mavericks game (ok, not really holiday-ish but we “have” to go all the same since our tickets haven’t sold)
- Wednesday – Michael W. Smith’s annual holiday concert with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra
- Thursday – Shannah’s non-profit organization’s holiday party
- Friday – Shannah’s office holiday party
I suppose the good part of Holiday Week is that it will give us plenty of time to enjoy the holiday lights and Christmas shopping, without the constant pressure of needing to be here and there. Even so, I’m hoping that we’ll still be in the Happy Holiday mood by Friday, with nary a Bah-Humbug in sight!
